Description:
FOCUS: This is a six week summer workshop for kids ages 10-14. We will focus on learning how to handle, care for, and safely interact in fun, creative non-riding ways with the Epala herd of horses. The Epala herd is friendly and fun and loves to work with kids. There will be no riding in this workshop per se. However their may be the opportunity to sit upon a horses back during some of the games and exercises we'll engage. in.
OUTCOME: Participants to this six week summer workshop will walk away with a greater comfort level being with horses and playing with them. They will learn horsemanship skills but also unique and creative ways to interact with horses that can build a bond of friendship and respect.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND: This is a workshop for kids ages 10-14 (exceptions can be made to age - just call). Because the focus is working with horses on the ground in creative, safe and fun ways it does not matter if the kid has a horse and wants to learn more about horses or does not have a horse and just wants to spend time with our herd.
